Point Grey Flea3: the world's smallest camera with USB 3.0

Point Grey Company announced a new series of cameras Flea3, equipped with USB 3.0-interface. Model FL3-U3 is the world's smallest camera with USB 3.0.
The new camera has dimensions of 29 x 29 x 30 mm. CMOS sensor Sony IMX036 provides video capture at 3.2 megapixel resolution at 60 frames per second. Through an interface USB 3.0, data transfer rate can be up to 384 MB / sec. This is 5 times faster than provides FireWire-b. As the producer, today many laptops, desktops and embedded systems support USB 3.0. Using this interface, instead of the traditional FireWire allows you to avoid buying a PCI-related or PCI Express-boards. According to Point Grey, USB 3.0 will continue to gain popularity among camera manufacturers.
