Antelope Audio to unveil World’s First Atomic digital preamplifier

Now, changing that norm for good is the this pre-amplifier from Antelope Audio, called ‘Rubicon’ which happens to be the first in the world to use the clock, in order to bring about an unparalleled stability in sound characteristics. Everyone can thus see this path breaking device at the Munich High-End Show, from May 3rd to 6th, 2012, which shall prove to discerning audiophiles, what the ‘vow’ factor really is.
Talking from the point of view of most specialists from the high-end audio industry, one of the main problems they would notice in high-end amplifiers is the stability factor, or the presence of jitteriness. Rubicon changes all that, with the help of 10M Rubidium clock, which is 100,000 times more stable than any crystal oscillator that most companies tend to use. This, in tandem with the company made 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking technology which about the new dimension of stability which the company has fought hard to bring about in its product, the Rubicon pre-amplifier.
Other notable features included in the device is the rather high sample rate for A/D conversion, along with the 384 kHz DAC which help users to capture the original essence of analog recorded audio tracks, and convert them to a digital format via the USB recording mode. This would essentially mean that original sound tracks can be preserved for longer times to come, without letting go of their aged characteristics. On the physical front, there is the strong aluminum machined chassis, which houses the phono preamp, dual stage headphone drivers, and ever famous gold-plated relay volume control, thus making way for great aesthetics. But, the one thing wraps in the current scenario is the price tag it will carry, or how many of these will be ever made.
